The Seoul Business Agency (SBA)'s "Digital Transformation (DX)" support project for small and medium-sized companies is drawing attention as it is making results everywhere. DX is a process that uses information technology (IT) such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to improve the work process and corporate culture of traditional small and medium-sized enterprises such as manufacturing to suit the digital era.
SSBA is a small and medium-sized enterprise development organization under the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
On the 27th, an SBA official said, "We are actively supporting the 'DX' work of small and medium-sized enterprises in Seoul in response to the fourth industrial revolution and the post-COVID-19 era."
In order to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, the institution is developing three key projects: 'AI-based business innovation support project', 'Seoul corporate digital leadership course', and 'DX capacity building consulting'. F
irst of all, the "AI Utilization Business Innovation Support Project" is a project in which the two companies collaborate to develop services after matching startups with AI and big data technologies necessary for services that small and medium-sized companies want to introduce. SBA also supports the cost of developing services (100 million won per project). SBA provided a total of 500 million won in funding for five projects this year.
CS Sharing (CEO Lim Ji-eun), which provides a customer satisfaction (CS) agency service called 'Call Center', has been selected as a support target for this project and is currently developing an AI voice recognition bot. The company is working with voice recognition startup Return Zero to develop the service with the aim of launching it next year.
When the service is developed, the AI voice bot will take charge of the first response to customers, record customer complaints, and convert them into text and provide them to counselors in the form of bulletin boards.
Counselors can read the contents on the bulletin board, handle the work according to the customer's request, and notify the customer of the results by text message.
GaonN (CEO Kang Bong-soo), a food technology company that provides nutrition management and food recommendation services for each life cycle, is also undergoing service upgrading with the benefit of the SBA support project. GaonN will join hands with AI and big data startup I'm Cloud to install AI chatbot functions in its childcare-only app "The BabyRestaurant."
When the service is developed, an AI chatbot recommends baby food suitable for the baby's nutritional status and allows one-stop purchase. You can also receive 24-hour chatbot counseling services on the baby's bowel movements, pain, and sleep patterns.
In addition, the "Seoul Corporate Digital Leadership Course" is a curriculum for executives of small and medium-sized companies in Seoul to enhance their understanding of DX. Through the curriculum that encompasses technology to business aspects, SME management can greatly improve their understanding of digital transformation. You can learn not only theory but also how to actually incorporate digital technology into our companies and businesses. SBA completed training for a total of 110 companies and 669 people with this project this year.
"DX Capacity Enhancement Consulting" is a customized practical consulting process that diagnoses current problems and points out points necessary for change for digital transformation of small and medium-sized companies. It will also support follow-up linked projects so that companies can carry out pilot projects and government support projects for practical changes using consulting results. SBA supported a total of five companies for the project this year.
